About Bunts Sangha
Our Alma Mater, Mumbai
Established in 1927, Bunts Sangha is a distinguished socio-cultural organization that proudly represents the vibrant and enterprising Bunt community in Mumbai. With a steadfast commitment to promoting socio-economic progress, cultural heritage, and educational advancement, the Sangha has masterfully balanced its deep-rooted traditions with a forward-thinking vision.
Since its inception, Bunts Sangha has stood as a pioneer in community development. A monumental milestone was the construction of Buntara Bhavan in 1980—built on land generously donated by the late Mr. H.T. Bhandari. This iconic structure serves as the Sangha’s headquarters and a dynamic hub for cultural, educational, and social initiatives.
A hallmark of the Sangha’s legacy is the introduction of Free Night High Schools in 1950—an inspiring initiative that transformed the lives of thousands of working boys, empowering them with education and opportunities.
