
RPH Hosts Wild Food Festival 2025 with Chef Thomas Zacharias & OOO Farms
On 23rd August 2025, Bunts Sangha’s Ramanath Payyade College of Hospitality Management Studies proudly hosted the Wild Food Festival 2025, in collaboration with OOO Farms and Locavore, led by renowned chef and Locavore founder Chef Thomas Zacharias.
Organised as part of the Third Year B.A. Culinary Arts curriculum, the festival saw 250+ students participate across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B Service, Food Production and Social Media. With footfalls exceeding 400, the event showcased 150–200 varieties of wild foods (each QR-linked to the Wild Food Wiki), a display of 500+ native seeds from the Community Seed Bank, and a tasting of 70+ wild dishes prepared with tribal communities – alongside a curated Wild High Tea and Mountain Cuisines Dinner.
The festival was a rare confluence of academic excellence, indigenous wisdom, sustainability and culinary innovation – and was featured in The Hindu and Mid Day.
